It is my pleasure to welcome you and invite you to explore the diversity and cultural richness of the various ethnic groups of West Africa.
The purpose of this site is to share my humble knowledge and great passion for Africa and its people and encourage you to exchange, share, debate and discuss your ideas, thoughts, research and insight.

Out and about...

>> My passion for Africa began more than twenty-five years ago when I had the opportunity to live and work in Africa… this new path would change my life forever. The anthropologist-archaeologist in me was quickly awakened.

>> My insatiable quest to travel, discover and learn about the various ethnic groups and their distinguishing cultures and ways of life led me to offbeat paths and remote places.
My inquisitive and curious spirit was satisfied through learning, exchanging and sharing with the various ethnic groups I encountered. Spending extended periods of time and returning amongst them over the years, in the end, they opened their world to me…
Breath-taking and dramatic landscapes, the people and their cultural and artistic richness, the mysteries, the magic - Africa, the enigmatic…

>> Over time, I have also put together a varied and very selected collection of my own, and with the same enthusiasm and passion, continue to learn and deepen my knowledge.
I travel twice yearly to Africa, mainly to Mali and Burkina Faso. I expand my personal research that I document through still photography and videos, focusing principally on such ethnic groups such as the Dogon, Bambara, Tuareg, Lobi, Gan, Bwaba and Senoufo.

Share the spirit!
